  • A psychological or neuropsychological evaluation is a multi-step process that is typically completed over the course of several weeks. It is done in three parts:

    Intake

The intake is the first step in the evaluation process and lasts approximately one hour. During this appointment, we will review background information and discuss your concerns to determine the most appropriate type of testing. We will ask questions about academic functioning, medical history, developmental history, and social and emotional functioning to gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs.

    Testing

The testing happens about 2-5 weeks after the intake and takes approximately 2–4 hours. During testing we may examine cognitive functioning, executive functioning, language abilities, memory, and social and emotional functioning. The goal is to better understand the underlying cause of any concerning behaviors or symptoms and provide clear, individualized recommendations.

    Feedback

The feedback takes place about 2-4 weeks after testing and takes approximately one hour. During this appointment, we will review the test results and discuss treatment recommendations. Clients will also receive a comprehensive written report that includes all results and recommendations.
